Transferring to Amity London
We accept students transferring from other universities onto any of our undergraduate or postgraduate courses on a case-by-case basis and if places are available.
Things to consider
Before transferring to another institution, students are advised to consider the possible implications of the transfer process in relation to the following (if applicable):
Student finance
Student visa
Accommodation arrangements
Transfer requirements
If a student wishes to transfer to a course at Amity London, they must meet the following criteria:
Meet the standard entry requirements for the course
Currently study on a course in an equivalent subject area
Have successfully completed 120 credits (undergraduate level) or 60 credits (postgraduate level) to the point of entry
Meet the current UKVI requirements for a Student visa (international students only)
Transfer process
All student transfer applications must be made through UCAS. General further information about student transfers is available on the UCAS website.
All applications received are referred to the Admission Office, who will consider your application in conjunction with the Course Team.
We will ask to see the following documents when you apply, so it will help to have them ready:
(Full official transcript of your previous study detailing the module breakdown and the grades you achieved
For complete qualifications: certificate (s) confirming the award (s)
Certified translations of your documents that are in a language other than English
Personal statement which outlines why you want to study your chosen degree, what you hope you to gain from your course and why you have chosen Amity University [IN] London
A reference from your previous teacher who can assess your academic abilities
A CV /Curriculum Vitae to let us know your professional and academic history
If you need a student visa to study in UK and you are not a national of the English-speaking countries, you will need to pass an IELTS test taken within the last two years. The overall score for the test is 6.0 with a minimum score of 5.5. in each component /element of the test.
There are cases when we may request additional information, such as a syllabus outlining the content, learning outcomes and level of your previous studies.
Please make sure you provide all the information as requested so that we can assess your eligibility and consider your application quickly. You will be informed of the outcome of your application through UCAS or by e-mail from the Admission Office.
Transferring to another course at Amity London
If you are an Amity student and you wish to transfer to another course at Amity London, please contact your Personal Tutor to get advice before initiating the internal transfer process.
Transfer to another course is not automatically approved, as your suitability for the new course must be assessed and you may need to be interviewed. You must complete all the credits for your current academic term. For further information please see the student transfer policy.
Transferring to another university
If you wish to leave Amity London and transfer to a course at another university, we will provide you with:
A transcript outlining the modules that you have completed and the grades that you have achieved.
An exit award, if you have achieved sufficient credit (e.g. CertHE if you have completed 120 credits in the first-year of an undergraduate degree).
An academic reference from one of the academic staff, on request.
